Exploring Bruges, “Venice of the North”
MORNING
Welcome by our guide on a location chosen by you.
With accompanying of our professional guide we make a walk through the historical and romantic Bruges.
On this walk we will see numerous curiosities such as the Beguinage, the Lake of Love, Church of Our lady, Burg Square with its Basilica of the Holy Blood, St. Saviour´s Cathedral, Town Hall (outside), Market Square with its Cloth Halls and Belfry,...
Included: Cruise on the romantic canals (30 minutes)
Next we visit the chocolate museum Chocostory or a chocolate manufacturer. In this traditional family business we follow the process of making chocolate.
A tasting of chocolate and 250 grams of pralines are included.
We end our morning with a visit of the brewery De Halve Maan (Half Moon) which was created in 1564 in Bruges.
Experienced guides will teach us everything about malt and hops, including tasting of the Brugse Zot beer.

Visit of the lace museum where lace-workers demonstrate us how to make bobbin lace. We can also admire lace from the 18th and 19th century, one by one valuable.
We end our day with a visit at Groeninge Museum in Bruges.
This museum is a must for any art-lover as it takes you on a wonderful journey trough the history of Belgian art, comprising some magnificent masterpieces by painters from the 15th century through to the present day.
The museum is in particular well known for its impressive collection of Flemish Primitives. For example: Jan van Eyck, Rogier van der Weyden, Hans Memling, …
The contemporary art section displays works by Delvaux, Magritte, Permeke and Van de Woestyne.
